Feminist Criticism vs. Margot.

This morning. Not so great.
Went to send a feminist critique on Flannery O' Connor to my Instructor via email.
My paper was nowhere to be found on my dinky lap top.
Lost.
Gone.
Forever.
I cried.
Bawled.
You see, I don't have much time or energy for typing decent papers.
So polishing one off feels a feat for me.
I cried again.
Then Margot woke up hungry.
I instantly switched from student mode to Mom mode.
I decided to introduce her to a whole new world....Food.
I watched her slurp the rice cereal in and out,
pulling Jim Carrey like faces,
reacting to new tastes and textures.
Then she smiled, telling me she liked and approved of this new world I had shown her.
My paper suddenly seemed tiny and unworthy.
Margot makes everything all better.
p.s. While Margot was eating her rice cereal,
I ate some dark chocolate joe joes.
That helped too.

I honestly wouldn't have recognized Margot if you offered me a million bucks. She looks so different, so much bigger, older, than the last time I saw her. Geeze has it really been that long?
Sorry about your paper, it happened to me only once and I cried a ton too! Except I didn't have a cutie to cheer me up...way to go margot!
I will see you tomorrow!

I'm sorry about your paper too. Good thing Margot so darn cute! I called you today to see if you guys wanted to swim. You weren't home.... or just to overwhelmed to pick up the phone. We'll have to get together another day!

her eyes are so blue!
crazy how a baby can change your mood. Dont you love how they are so happy, and so oblivious to anything else.

I wish I was there to eat dark chocolate with you whilst watching "Enchanted April" or some other transporting/take me away from here, movie...But know that I love you, I am glad your children bring you such joy, and of all my house guests this summer, the Red crew were the cheeriest and most comforting lodgers!

I am so sorry about your paper-I imagine that was very frustrating. I had a ten page paper disappear about two hours before it was due so I feel some of your pain. She is darling-I can't believe how big she is. Also I love joe joes-but I love the vanilla ones, if only they had trader joes in Utah...

I think you are an amazing mother! It was great to see you at the reunion. Wish we had more time together though. Hopefully I will join the "mommy club" soon : )

Hey, I just found your blog from your comment on Jamie's... Don't be stuck in the house all day alone with the kids. You can count on me having people over at least 6 out of 7 days a week for sure! I love company and so does Maisey. The Tonks, Williams, Melansons, Braithewaits, surely a fun bunch of gals! We swim 4 or so times a week and we just talk about a whole lot of random stuff. Come by some time, I'm just down the road, one of your closest neighbors if that means anything.
